12 Cakes - Saucy Chocolate Cake
Cocoa Mixture
1 Teaspoon Vanilla essence
2 Tablespoon Cocoa
½ Cup Boiled Water
Cake Mixture
4 Eggs
1 Cup Castor sugar
¾ Cup Oil
1 ¼ Cup Cake flour
4 Teaspoon Baking powder
Ganache Topping
400 grams Cadbury plain chocolate
300ml Fresh Cream
1 Teaspoon Honey
Cocoa Mixture
Disolve the cocoa in boiling water and add vanilla essence then allow to cool.
Cake Mixture
Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
Add oil and beat well.
Sift the flour and baking powder in a dish.
Fold the flour and cocoa mixtures into the cream mixture.
Pour into a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes.
Remove from the baking pan and allow to cool.
Ganache Topping
Bring the cream to boil in a pot then remove from the heat.
Add the chocolate and continue mixing until the chocolate is melted.
Add the honey and mix.
Pour the topping evenly over the cake.
Allow the cake to cool.
Using a knife dipped in hot water, cut the cake into squares.
Carefully place each square into a cupcake holder.
